Gordon Wiebe

Gordon Weibe has a wonderfully simple, unique, graphic style, which uses a very distinct stylization, but at the same time, retains a lovely subtlety. I particularly enjoy the way he stylizes forms, and the colors that he chooses. Equally appealing is his use of shape as compositional tool, and his working technique, which yields pieces that almost resemble cut-paper. Also, he has taken on working with a wide range of bright colors, which I think is difficult, and has pulled it off very well; the colors sync up nicely with his style.
