Clare Mallison

Clare Mallison has a great loose, linear style that I really like. It has an immediacy and an ease. Some look like they may be drawn directly in pen - the buildings and landscapes describe the space and tone of an area very well, and yet precision in perspective or line straightness doesn't figure into the success of the piece. Her line quality is very delicate, but confident, and the muted accented spot colors do a good job of creating visual interest and rhythm without being too heavy, which would overwhelm that linear quality.

Clare draws continuously from her studio in Bethnal Green London for a broad range of international clients. Her work is a mix of quink ink pro markers and sometimes pencil. (from bio)
