Dexter

I've made a list of illustrators whose inking style I greatly admire. Here's the first of them, my character Dexter, bug necromancer extrordinare, inked similar to Mike Mignola's style.

Been getting a lot of work started, I do suppose it will come around to being finished. I've got two new comic pages, a painting, and four color illustrations underway, and a doll diorama planned for starting on Monday, when I'll have a bigger studio space here.

Oooh thanks for passing that along, I looked him up and I love his work! How's Portland? I hear it's beautiful there too. Congrats on the move, I hope everything is going well for you :)

That sounds amazing! The only thing I don't like about Boulder and I kinda miss about Memphis is that it doesn't really rain here.. but I live right at the base of the mountains in a super cheap but nice apartment and the view is gorgeous.

I would LOVE to have a critique group! I haven't been very consistent with creating new work since graduation, and I think having a group would really encourage me to make more work and it'd be great to get some feedback, and give some. I found some workshops and life drawing groups in the area that I'm going to start going to so I can get back in the habit of drawing regularly. But anyway, yeah I think that's a great idea and you should definitely get that going. If you need any help let me know! And I guess if you can't get enough illustration majors to join maybe you could open it up to more alumni also? Just a thought.
